Every so often, a study comes along that tells us something we didn’t know we needed to hear. The recent Dentons research comparing humans, generalist AI, and legal-specific AI is one of those studies. It didn’t reveal that machines are “smarter” than lawyers—something far less dramatic happened. It reminded us of something we instinctively know but rarely say out loud:
